The Awkward moments on Campus

Its an interesting topic to think about when you're bored and you're trying to preoccupy yourself during the time you have between classes.
When you're listening to your music and walking around the campus down a congested hallway you have this tiny sense of insecurity, like am i looking good? is there anyone i see that i know and then this song comes on that makes you feel super cool and you don't know how to react. You really like this song and you want to keep listening to it but it makes you feel too cool then you really are and you worry if people can tell what song you are listening to, you feel all self conscious because you don't want people to know your inner feelings on this song, and you most certainly don't to demonstrate it by changing your walking pace or swag. I am guilty of judging people when i see people listing to music and watching it take over their entire body.
I have a friend who came to class really nervous but also really tired because its the first day. He was listening to his music to shun himself from the outside world. He started to doze off with his ear buds still intact, and i guess in the transition of slipping in and out of consciousness he felt a sense of comfort and unknowingly started to sing the song softly but out loud in a room full of students giving him their undivided attention, he awoke from his purgatory slumber and realized that everyone, including the teacher was staring at him in disbelief, like " is this kid really singing " moves like Jagger" right now? He was so embarrassed that he dropped the class.
There's nothing wrong with expressing yourself through music just remember that nobody really cares but just try not to sing in class cause that could be something you would never get over. Don't worry about listing to your ipod and remember that you are cool enough to listen to any song you want.

  1. That is pretty hilarious. Why did he drop the class tho? If anything, it should have gave him more points and an easy ice breaker. Oh well, still a good story.
